Joseph Armenia has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience working both on the principal side as a real estate developer and on the advisory side providing services to some of the industry’s largest banking, sovereign wealth, private equity, and financial services institutions.
Mr. Armenia joined Reger Holdings as Chief Financial Officer in 2014 and has taken a lead role in over a billion dollars of financing, acquisition, and disposition transactions since his arrival. Mr. Armenia is part of the executive team that leads all of the Reger Holdings real estate investment and development executions in various strategic markets throughout the United States including Austin, the Carolinas, Florida, New England, and New York.
Prior to joining Reger Holdings, Mr. Armenia was a Senior Manager in Ernst and Young’s Transaction Real Estate practice based in New York City where he was primarily focused on providing capital markets, restructuring, and strategic advisory services to the financial services industry as well as to developers, operators, and owners of commercial real estate working on several billion dollars of real estate transactions.
Mr. Armenia has extensive experience leading buy side and sell side transactions for real estate acquisitions, loan portfolios, and Bank M&A as well as raising debt and equity capital and advising on commercial mortgage underwriting and due diligence, restructuring and asset management, and commercial real estate strategy. This has included advising on the development, repositioning, asset management and ultimate disposition of numerous large-scale real estate projects.
Prior to joining Ernst & Young in 2008, Mr. Armenia was a partner and Chief Operating Officer of a Florida based Real Estate Development Company where he oversaw all aspects of the development business including management of the projects from acquisition through development, and sale. The most recent project prior to returning to Ernst & Young was the development of a $73 million 161-unit condominium project in two 21 story high-rise towers located in Florida.
Mr. Armenia holds a B.S. from the University of Florida (double major in Finance and Real Estate) and an MBA from The Pennsylvania State University (concentrations in Finance and Real Estate).
