In 2000, Gordon co-founded Reger Holdings and has been the leader and visionary of the company since inception, successfully building teams and executing on real estate strategies across various asset classes in strategic growth markets throughout the country. This included executing on a 12-year industrial value add strategy under the Carolina Industrial Properties brand with acquisitions totaling over 6 million square feet making, the company one of the largest industrial landlords in South Carolina and culminating in the largest known portfolio sale in South Carolina in 2020. This was followed by the delivery of Reign Student Living at the Stadium in 2020, a 126-unit, 504 bed student housing development project less than a mile from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC which was subsequently sold in May 2021.
Mr. Reger increased the company’s focus on the Austin market starting in 2015 with several large-scale land acquisitions and assemblages that paved the way for the EastVillage mixed-use development and the Linden high-rise condominium development, both currently under construction, as well as additional projects in Manor and Cedar Park that are in the predevelopment phases. This has created a development pipeline of over $2 billion dollars which includes the planned development of several thousand multi-family units and several million square feet of commercial space (retail, office, restaurant, and hotel).
Beginning in 2000, Mr. Reger became principally involved in the redevelopment of historic buildings into luxury residences in Boston's Back Bay. During that time, approximately $150 million of condominiums were developed in the Boston area. His success in Boston led him to condominium development opportunities in Portland Maine where Reger Holdings is currently developing its fifth condominium development project and has created a development brand as the leading condo developer in that market.
In the early 1980s, Mr. Reger started his career with Marc Equity Corporation based in West Seneca, New York and worked his way to become the head of its New Residential Development Division of New York, with responsibilities including overseeing land development and new residential construction in Western New York.
